In 2012, construction on Bashaw Meadows began - a unique building that combines both Lodge and Designated Supportive Living (DSL) accommodation. The new building replaces the existing Bashaw Valley Lodge with 33 Lodge rooms (including six 1-bedroom units) and 30 DSL rooms funded by Alberta Health Services. Overall, the facility offers supportive and lodge living for 69 individuals.
All rooms in the new building are bright modern spaces with all the comforts of home. The barrier-free units are also larger than those in the old lodge.
Residents moved to the new building in June 2013.
In September 2014, we broke ground on our Rosealta Lodge expansion. We are well underway with the pilings for the foundation put in and construction started.
This 40-room addition will enable us to concentrate all of our Camrose lodge spaces in the one facility, and we hope to be finished by Spring 2016.
The architects working on the Rosealta addition are also working on possibilites for Stoney Creek Lodge. We are hoping to have an idea for redevelopment of this site in the near future.
